Holy crap, The musical “Rent” in Japanese!!

Leslie found the Ad while we were passing by the Imperial Theater in Ginza. Planning to see it with Leslie and others December 17th. I’m stoked. Stoked like the street Panda and Jimmy live on.

Wall-E was just as good in Japanese

First movie watching experience in Japan! With Wall-E, in Japanese.

Ugh I want that poster! They weren’t selling them. My room is in a dire need of a poster and that poster is much nicer than the default one in the US.

Yesterday was the premiere for Wall-E in Japan. Jamie and I went to go see it at the Yokohama movie theater. We ran into Korina and Susanne at the same theater so ended up watching it altogether.

The Japanese version was impressive. They even edited the animation and inputed Japanese words into the movie. A good chunk of the scenery’s billboards, signs, books, Wall-E’s screen, Mo’s sensor, and more were all in Japanese. It was really cool XD. Wall-e and Eve too spoke in Japanese in the rare times where they aren’t just saying their names. I was a bit happy that I was able to understand a decent chunk of the movie.

The last Pixar movie they bought to Japan was Finding Nemo, which sort of surprised me because I thought the other Pixar movies after Nemo such as Ratattouie would have made it here. And honestly Ratattouie >Nemo anyday in my opinion.

Stuff, oh and I stabbed my hand.

I finished most of my exams in the past week or so. I did fairly well on them so that was a relief.

A couple of us here at the international house have set up a mini secret Santa shindig. Drawing names tomorrow night~! wonder who I’ll get.

Went to Hakone with Jamie and her Mitsui-V Net partner last weekend. Went to a gazillion places all in one day including Owakudani, Two Museums, Two Parks, and an Onsen at the end. it was quite tiring but man, the Onsen at the end really hit the spot. The gallery feature on the blog is having some problems so hopefully the kinks will be figured out soon.

There is a tree right outside of the International student center that has turned super red this week. I was really glad I got a picture of it cause shortly in less than two days it already lost some of the vibrant red colors. It was really pretty. The last week, esp. on the Hakone trip, I really wished I had a better camera. The pictures never look as good as it does in person =(. Baah.

I accidently stabbed my hand while I was working. A scissor was falling off the table and out of reflex I carelessly went to grab it without thinking what actually was falling. The sharp point penetrated into my hand to the point that it had enough support to just stay suspended in air while being in my hand. Luckily I didn’t hit any nerves so it wasn’t as fatal as it looked. As long as I don’t put a lot of weight or overwork it it should be fine.
